Follow the steps below to prepare for a reading.

When reading a card house for the sun chart,

  • First notice the Oracle that is indicated for the birth card.  If the house is colored yellow, the movement is outward from the moment of birth.  If the color is blue, it shows that the Cherub is on the way back to the gate (point of birth) through the Oracles.  Look up the Oracle description to get an idea of the archetypal nature of experience that is in operation for the individual.
  • · Next, notice the column in which the birth card resides.  The column represents the chakra that is indicated, reading from right to left, and describes the dimension in which the energy is operating:
    • If in the 1st chakra, it represents molecular structure and composition, being the realm of Matter (1st chakra), in relation to it's counterpart in Spirit (7th chakra).  Our body is drawn together based on formulas set in place by the birth contract that reflects our past.  Our ability to cognize the opportunity offered to us through  the birth experience (and bound by the birth contract) rests in our desire and will to meet the demands of the birth contract, thereby fulfilling the payment of dues to enter the space.

    • If in the 2nd chakra, it represents the plant kingdom, where organic structures express motion.  Emotions evolve out of this process as an expression of duality, showing up as yin/yang, male/female, etc.  Sex is a major phenomenon here, along with all of the powers and distractions that are available through sexuality.  Desire draws through the 3rd eye (6th chakra) the impression of our sexual nature.  Based on the intention behind our motivations, a feeling wells up and evolves as emotion.

    • If in the 3rd chakra, it represents the animal kingdom.   This is the location where our lower mind balances with our higher mind (3rd kingdom) creating a tone that issues out with our voice (5th chakra), as it connects through the Heart.

    • If in the 4th (Heart chakra), it represents the human kingdom.  This is the meeting ground of the Shiva/Shakti presence.   It denotes the pool of love (within which lives our eternal Spirit) as it reflects through the pool of karma through which we contact each other.

    • If in the 5th, 6th or 7th chakra, these represent the spiritual kingdom.  The energy in these upper chakras is always a factor of the energy that is resonating in the counterpart chakra, as noted above.  Please note, however, that you can affect the lower chakras through these upper chakras by aligning the lower mind, the lower desire and the lower intention with the divine counterpart.

      • If in the 5th Chakra, it represents our opportunity for wisdom.  But that wisdom is only available to the individual if they have acceptance in the 3rd chakra.  If the 3rd chakra (lower mind) remains blocked and judgmental, no wisdom will be available to the 5th chakra.  What happens instead, is that the mental picture forced on the Heart by the lower mind gets projected out the Solar Plexus as an astral projection, as if it was divinely provided.  The 5th chakra antes up by issuing out 'the Word' in support of that astral projection, in an effort to balance the event.

      • If in the 6th Chakra, it represents the 'truth of love'.  But that truth is only available to the 6th chakra if the lower desire has been tamed by the 2nd chakra.  Sexuality, and the desire to know God arrive at the same doorstep.  Through tantric exercises, the male and female counterpart can learn to experience the divine desire, that which is, in and of itself, sexual.  When the pressures of society force on us situations that divert us from our natural instincts, those are replaced by creative expressions arriving through our 6th chakra.  Since society as a whole projects the 'acceptable' way to express our sexuality, we can feel justified in following that lead.  If our lower desire is not purified, however, the 6th chakra can only respond in truth as a response to that desire.  When the lower desire aligns with the divine desire, the creative expression received through the 3rd eye will be accompanied by a truth which cannot be denied.

      • If in the 7th Chakra, it represents our purpose in life, our original intention to incarnate.  Access to our purpose can only be achieved through the central channel (Sushumna), so ultimately it requires that we raise the kundalini from the 1st chakra (Root) to the 7th chakra (Crown).  The kundalini can only be lifted fully by having each intermediate chakra in balance (represented by the positive/negative forces therein).  Our purpose is directly relative to the original intention behind our birth request.  Therefore the proper manner in which to balance all forces in the body is to align the lower intention with that of our original intention to incarnate.  Since our individual intention resides in the 1st Chakra, we obtain access to our purpose by aligning the 1st and the 7th Chakras.

  • Next, notice the planetary player that is active.  If the Oracle indicated is on its outward movement, take the planetary player on the right with the sign along the bottom, and for the Oracle on its inward movement take the planetary player on the left with the sign along the top.  Ultimately both planetary players (along with their associated sign) are important to integrate when reading the sun chart.  The one indicated by the movement of the Oracles is archetypal, but the opposite planetary ruler and sign should be included to act as a reflective force present in the subconscious.

  • When noting what sign is present, see that one will be active by day and the other by night.  These are archetypal indications, but overall they will both work together in some way as to provide an arena for the planets to play within.
When reading for the rising chart and moon chart:
  • First notice what Oracle is indicated for the birth card in question.  The overall idea described above for the sun chart is reflected here, in its own way.

  • Then find the chakra expression, which describes the dimension within which goes the play.

  • Then note the planetary player--on the right for Rising, left for Moon.  Here, there will likely be more of a clear definition of that planetary energy.   Though the planetary pair that is opposite it will have influence, it will mainly be such as to offer the ground for the planet that is expressing.

  • Then note the sign and its rulership of day or night.  For the Rising, it represents day--which is going towards night.  For the Moon it represents night--which unfolds into the dawn of day.  In a sense this describes the direction of the event happening in the chakra.
